Feet for your case

Some of you may have already experienced issues related to building or disassembling your case, pertaining to the oil pick-up tube or the pan, trying to keep from damaging them as you work on your engine. The problem is that normally, the pan or oil pick-up tube is the lowest point and if you try to work on the engine with it on a workbench, you'll be resting everything on the pan or oil pick-up tube.  Even with both of these items removed, you chance damaging the oil pan gasket area by sliding the case around on the table.

But the answer is simple....

With the use of 4 carriage bolts, 8 nuts and 8 washers, you can bolt "feet" to your case. They can remain there throughout the entire build, right up until you need the holes for mounting the engine to the engine mount.
The carriage bolt works well, as the rounded head makes for low friction when sliding the engine around on the bench top.
